With unsettling conditions, it’s no surprise that only a few anglers have been down targeting the pike this week. It was a great start to the week for myself landing 2 pike which again fell to live bait and weighed in at 18.12lbs and 11lb on the nose. The following day Steve Brookes was rewarded with a fish just over 13lbs to keep his good run of form and 100% record intact which again fell to live bait. In Midweek another angler was reported to have landed a fish of around 15lbs coming to the lure. On Friday I managed a small jack out of around 5lbs, taking my tally thus far to 21 fish from the lake since the opening of the pike season. Was down again today, (Sunday) and although there was pike striking at bait fish all around the lake, sadly both myself and 2 other anglers all drew blanks.
