Well, with only a handful of anglers coming down to the lake this week targeting the pike. Sadly there isn’t much to report. Early on in the week I did manage 3 jacks out with the biggest estimated around 8-9lbs. All falling to live bait. With heavy rain and strong winds predicted for Wednesday, I decided to give it a miss. Was back down on Friday and hooked into a very big fish, but after quite a lengthy battle with the fish coming out on top, she threw my trebles as I was set to net her and it was game over! I did manage to get yet another jack out just after lunchtime. Another Angler did lose what looked to be a mid to high double figure fish from the double peg, but again with the fish getting the better. A few pike anglers was down over the weekend with Rob Hall getting amongst the pike with a 9lb jack.
